Contents of the Swartwout Chronicles Manuscript

The Swartwout Chronicles, in its original form as found in the Library of Congress, is a difficult read. We are attempting to break it up into manageable chunks (of original pages) and clean up the copy/paste narrative into something a bit more readable. While it may not be as historically accurate as the original document you may find this a bit easier to peruse and/or search. The narrative chunks (four or five pages each, in most instances) reference the page numbers of the original document – that you can find at the Library of Congress in .pdf format and 26 MB in size.

N.B. This is a labor of love and is under development – pages will be added as time permits.
